Poetry for Teachers

There’s a poet inside every person but it needs to be encouraged and nourished. Poetry can be expressed in a variety of ways. You notice it right away in a variety of music genres. For the high achieving student or troubled student, poetry can bring the best features in a child. I encourage all teachers to have their students write their own poems and share them aloud. You will build camaraderie in your classroom, and your students will have a new appreciation for writing.
